Mac, Windows, etc. Utilities
Here are some utilities worth checking out. Some are freeware, some are shareware (be sure to support those that are).
-
DirMaster
- This nice little program is a must for those using VICE or are archiving to/from a Windows-based computer. It will run on Windows 98 and XP. With this program, I can make as many "disks" as I want, then simply format with Omega-Q (in VICE) and the new "disk" is ready. Import/Export is a nice feature too (among the many), I can import/export any file to a .d64 file (disk).
-
VICE
- If you don't know VICE, you should. This is one of the best emulators around. Will run on Windows 98 and XP (haven't figured out how on a MAC).
-
CBM Programming Studio
- This neat program aids in writing code for the 64 and 128. Commands and such are color coded for a more pleasing look (as well as an aid for better coding). Version 2.52.
-
TextConvert
- This is a Windows-based program for converting to and from SEQ/ASCII.
Extract text from Word Writer 5 & PaperClip III documents.
